**The dilemma.** Imani, your best dispatcher, gave Signal News your real idling-emissions figures, which are worse than your brochure says. The board, the lawyers and your whole council want her gone by Friday.

## Options and what happens

- **Protect her publicly and publish the full data yourself.** (bold: d20 + adviser skill against 13)
  - Succeeds: Owning the numbers turns a scandal into a story about honesty. Imani gets a promotion.
  - Fails: The full data is even worse than the leak. Customers ask for discounts and Daria asks for a drink.
- **Fire her for breach of confidence.** (certain): She goes. The story stays, now with a sequel about how you treat whistleblowers.
- **Say nothing and let it blow over.** (certain): It does not blow over. It just gets quieter, and closer.
