# A union seat on your board

**The dilemma.** Jo Okafor asks for a drivers' seat on your board. No haulier in Meridyen has ever done it. Your council is unanimous: it would slow every decision and scare investors.

## Options and what happens

- **Give the drivers their seat.** (bold: d20 + adviser skill against 13)
  - Succeeds: The first meeting is awkward. By the third, the drivers' director has saved you from a terrible contract.
  - Fails: Investors read it as a warning sign. Meetings get longer and Marcus gets louder.
- **Refuse, as your council advises.** (certain): Jo accepts politely and remembers it impolitely.
- **Promise to think about it.** (certain): You think about it for a year. So does Jo.
