**The dilemma.** Diesel has jumped again and every haulier in Meridyen has raised rates by fifteen percent. Daria has your new rate card ready. Freezing prices would hurt for months, and win you something harder to count.

## Options and what happens

- **Freeze your prices for small customers.** (bold: d20 + adviser skill against 12)
  - Succeeds: Corner shops and bakeries switch to you by the dozen and stay.
  - Fails: The goodwill is real, but the losses are bigger than the new customers.
- **Raise prices with the market.** (certain): The margins hold. Nobody thanks you, and nobody is surprised.
- **Let the old rate card run out.** (certain): You raise prices late and quietly, and lose a little on both counts.
