**The dilemma.** Customers suspect hauliers of gouging. You could publish every route's costs and margins online, something no firm in Meridyen has dared. Daria has threatened to resign. Theo is quietly excited.

## Options and what happens

  - Succeeds: Trust jumps. Rivals look evasive by comparison, and the Regulator calls it a model.
  - Fails: Rivals use your numbers to undercut you route by route.
- **Publish a polished summary instead.** (certain): The summary is tidy and safe. Daria withdraws her resignation.
- **Keep the books closed.** (certain): The suspicion stays, as it always has.
